It also comes with a top bar which can be easily lowered to allow for feeding at night without having to mess with zips.
Anna discovered that the CoZee was a safe and comfy place to sleep for her baby. She was pleased that it didn't sway like some other models, so it didn't wake her at night while she was trying to soothe her baby during feeds. She also loved that the sides of the chair lowered so that she didn't have to reach over her partner in order to lift the child to feed her at night.
The CoZee comes in charcoal or oak and is a chic accessory to any bedroom. It's more of an elegant piece of furniture than some of the other cribs that we've tested, which can appear rather utilitarian. It's also lightweight at just 11kg and comes with a carry-on case so you can bring it on holiday or when moving house. The only extras you require are a fitted waterproof sheet and a co-sleeping safety strap. There are helpful step-by-step instructions and photos to guide you through the process when first opening the box which makes it a single-person job when needed.
The Maxi-Cosi lora
The Iora is an infant bassinet designed to make parents feel more connected to their infant while they sleep. It adjusts up and down and can be moved through three slide positions to be placed next to the bed of the parent or in the corner of the room to ensure that your baby is close to the parent's side. The mesh siding lets air flow through, and allows you to quickly see your baby. You can also put away additional pajamas or other items in the large basket beneath.
Unlike some other smaller bedside cribs The Iora can be folded flat and comes with a carry-on bag to allow it to be taken wherever. It was easy to move around from room to space, and our mum testers felt it was the perfect size for a bedside crib. The large storage basket is ideal to store bedding and nappies.
This is a great choice for parents who wish to sleep together, but don't wish to share their bed. Or if one of the parents has mobility issues, such as arthritis or back pain. Our mom testers loved the ease with which they could access their baby in the Iora and that it came with an optional reflux incline that helped reduce gas.
Our moms love that it follows NICE guidelines. These include placing the infant in a Moses basket or crib on its own, without toys, blankets, pillows etc. They also claim that the mattress is firm and comfortable for the baby and easy to find sheets for. It isn't as light as other smaller bedside cribs, though, so if you want something lighter and easier to move around with, think about one of the other options on our list.
